Surprise! 2015 Gräfin from Maria and Sepp Muster. Opened last weekend; very impressive; showing beautifully right now. “From the same grapes as the Graf Sauvignon but fermented on the skins in 2,500-liter oak fermentors for three weeks, the orange colored 2015 Gräfin is super pure, clear, intense and concentrated on the refreshing and spicy nose where dried stone fruit and orange tea flavors are displayed. Full-bodied, dense and round on the palate, this is an intense, lush, aromatic, firmly structured but very elegant, fine and even sensual Sauvignon with refreshing tannins that give structure, energy and length. This is a great orange wine that already drinks beautifully but can age for perhaps two decades. A gorgeous, aromatic wine. Tasted July 2018.” - 95+ RP
