Raw thoughts from a solopreneur of a 3D printing business...

Hey Im Niko and I currently run about 12 3D printers for my business - Legendary 3D. Ive been in business for a few years now. It's been a long journey to get to this point , and there's still a lot of growth to do. Though i'm happy to say that i've reached the vision that I originally set out for when starting this business.

In 2020, i got my first 3D printer and started learning. By 2021 and 2022 my boss at the time started paying me to develop solutions and solve problems in his business using 3d printing and my recent design skills. It was during this time that I started to realize how valuable these skills actually are for the future. This began to seed the idea of my own business... By 2023, I was prototyping my business idea on the side, and then made the leap to doing it full time.

I wanted to work for myself and be the captain of my own ship , not tethered to someone else's dream. I dreamed of becoming a local option for people creating new ideas and products and to serve existing businesses that are looking for localized manufacturing solutions. In the beginning, I had to lean on farmers' markets and local events while client work was more sparse. Now I'm primarily client work and am selective of the in-person events that i'm at.

It feels really good to be here right now where that original vision led me. Also knowing that I can achieve what i set my mind to. I know there are a lot more people trying to do the same thing that I did. If that's you, please let me know in the comments. 🙌

i'm already working on the next stage of my business and working towards its evolution. My vision has grown exponentially since I started and im aiming to help others reach their vision with 3d printing too.
