There is a list of people banned from being suppliers for Catcore, generally for theft-associated reasons

Anyone found bringing pieces in for banned suppliers, or for anyone suspected of theft is subject to, at minimum, also being banned -

Not limited to report to the RCMP for association.

We’ve worked hard for nearly a decade to be a positive part of the community

Designing this in ways that deter all forms of theft including the more stereotypical cut and run,

And probably more impactful,

Standardizing professional purchase practices,

Doing our best with what we have to alleviate honest sellers being underpaid for their material.

We can’t claim to have perfected this, but work honestly toward it every day of the week

- Be mindful when bringing in pieces for your friends, family, etc. Their mistakes could put you under negative light, or worse

The vast majority of the time your PPM codes will not be imprinted next to a manufacturing seam

Particularly GM will tend to avoid the seams

Chrysler / Dodge has some exceptions and I’m sure others so it’s not to be totally ruled out,

But not the first area to suggest looking either in most cases

A skilled appraiser / buyer should help you find it either way but it’s good to be a skilled seller too

The majority of catalytic converters are ceramic,

Which tend to have an imprinted ppm code to tell buyers what mixture of platinum, palladium, rhodium they’ve been tested to have

Some catalytic converter filters are made of a stainless steel mesh, often referred to as “foil,” and are usually valued by the pound ($20-$30/lb)
