The City of Langford is pleased to be participating in the 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge, distributing FREE radon test kits to residents. Langford residents can get a test kit by signing up for the online Radon Information Session on Thursday, October 16 at 7 pm. After the session, kits can be picked up at City Hall (877 Goldstream Ave) from October 17–24, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that can build up inside homes. You can’t see or smell it, but breathing high levels over time increases your risk of lung cancer. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in Canada, after smoking.
