COVID 19 update:

Travel to New Zealand

New Zealand’s border is closed to most travellers and entry is strictly controlled. All arrivals are tested for COVID-19 and a 14-day managed quarantine or isolation is mandatory.

New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and residents with valid travel conditions returning to New Zealand do not need approval from Immigration New Zealand before travelling.

CHANGES COMING
From 18 June

Changes for partners, dependants, essential workers and diplomats expected to be in effect.

Later in June

Maritime changes to be in effect.
From 18 June partners and dependants of New Zealand citizens and residents who are ordinarily resident in New Zealand or hold a visa on the basis of their relationship will no longer need to travel with their New Zealand citizen or resident family member to be granted an exception to the border closure.

Canada welcomed ONLY 4,000 immigrants in April:

The coronavirus pandemic had a devastating impact on Canada’s immigrant intake in April.
In new information released today, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) data shows the country’s PR intake fell by 78 per cent compared with March 2020.

Great news is that Despite the pandemic, IRCC has not indicated that it plans to change its 2020-2022 Immigration Levels Plan.

The plan states that IRCC will aim to welcome over 340,000 immigrants annually in the coming years.
