Sunday Post - Langley

Working on a memoir project lately has reminded me that every life holds stories worth preserving.

I’ve been helping a client turn handwritten memories, family stories, life lessons, heartbreak, humour, and personal reflections into a meaningful legacy book for future generations. It is powerful work.

One thing I tell people often: you do not need to be famous to write a memoir. The most meaningful stories are usually the real ones.

Top 3 memoir writing tips:

1. Start before you feel ready
Write the memories down now. Handwritten notes, voice recordings, rough drafts. Just begin.
2. Keep your authentic voice
The best memoirs sound human, honest, and personal. Good editing should preserve your voice, not remove it.
3. Write for future generations
The stories you think are “small” today may become treasured family history tomorrow.

Your story matters. Your life experiences, lessons, struggles, and victories are part of your legacy.

If you have ever thought about writing your life story or preserving family memories, I would love to help.

Job searching right now can feel exhausting.

You put time into your resume.
You apply.
You wait… and hear nothing.

Or you finally get an interview and still don’t get the call back.

After a while, it starts to wear on you.

You might start questioning yourself…
Am I doing something wrong?
Am I not good enough?

I see this every day with people I work with. Good people. Hardworking. Capable.
People who should be getting interviews.

The truth is, the process isn’t easy.
A lot of the time, it’s not clear what employers are actually looking for or how to present your experience in a way that gets noticed.

And if you’re already dealing with stress, life changes, or barriers to employment, it can feel even heavier.

You’re not alone in this.

Sometimes it’s not about working harder.
It’s about having the right support, a clear strategy, and someone who can help you see what’s missing.

Things can shift. I’ve seen it happen.

If you’re feeling stuck, discouraged, or just tired of trying to figure it out on your own, reach out.

We can work through it together.

Sunday Post - Located in Langley

Congratulations to my client on securing a Longshore Foreman interview.

We worked on this resume a few weeks ago, taking strong experience and positioning it the right way.

We focused on leadership, safety, and operational impact and now the opportunity has come through.

This is the shift from applying to getting noticed.

Well earned and well deserved.

The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. “He is not here; He has risen” (Matthew 28:6).

Easter reminds us that death did not win, sin did not have the final word, and hope is alive. Because Christ lives, forgiveness is secure and new life is possible. “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Today is an invitation to trust Him. To believe that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is able to meet you right where you are. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Christ is risen. He is risen indeed.

This image of the crown of thorns is hard to look at, and it should be.

“They twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head” (Matthew 27:29). Jesus did not suffer from a distance. He stepped fully into pain, rejection, and shame, and He did it willingly.

Good Friday, from a Protestant perspective, is not about ritual. It is about remembering the cross and the finished work of Christ. “It is finished” (John 19:30) means nothing more is required. Jesus paid the full cost, once and for all.

That crown represents the weight He carried for us. “He was pierced for our transgressions” (Isaiah 53:5). This is the depth of God’s love. “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Today we pause. We remember the cross. We give thanks.

My Why

I do this work because I have seen what happens when people are given a real chance.

Not just a program. Not just information.
A real chance to be seen, supported, and set up to succeed.

I have worked with people who are rebuilding after loss, stepping into something new, or trying again after being told no too many times.

And I have seen what changes everything
Confidence
Support
Opportunity
Someone believing in them before they fully believe in themselves

My why is simple
To create spaces where people feel safe enough to grow and strong enough to move forward

To help people translate their life experience into skills, their skills into opportunities, and their opportunities into something sustainable

To do work that matters to real people, in real ways

This is not just about jobs
It is about dignity, direction, and purpose

That is why I do what I do

Most people don’t fail interviews because they lack experience.
They fail because they don’t practice out loud.

That is where a career coach changes everything.

I have worked with clients who went from second-guessing themselves to confidently landing roles and promotions worth over $100K.

Here are the top 5 benefits of practicing interviews with a career coach
1. Clarity in your answers
You stop rambling and start delivering structured, confident responses that actually land.
2. Real-time feedback
You get immediate insight on what is working and what is not, including tone, body language, and wording.
3. Stronger storytelling
You learn how to turn your experience into clear, compelling examples using proven methods like STAR.
4. Confidence under pressure
Practice removes uncertainty. You walk in prepared, not guessing.
5. Alignment with the role
Your answers become tailored to the job posting, reflecting the language and priorities employers are looking for.

Interviewing is a skill.
And like any skill, it improves with the right coaching and practice.

If you are serious about your next move, preparation is not optional.

Palm Sunday.

🌿 Palm Sunday Reflections from Faelah 🌿
Chief Shredding Officer 🐾

Today I took my duties very seriously.

Inspected the palm.
Tested the texture.
Shredded with excellence.

Quality control? Passed.

While the humans talk about peace, renewal, and new beginnings… I’m here reminding everyone to stay present, enjoy the moment, and maybe… chew on what matters.

Wishing you a calm, grounded, and hopeful Palm Sunday.

Now if you’ll excuse me… there are more leaves that require my professional attention.

Jesus entered Jerusalem in humility, riding on a donkey, as the crowd cried, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 21:9).

Palm Sunday invites us to welcome Jesus not just with praise, but with trust and surrender. He came not to meet expectations, but to save. “Your king comes to you, gentle” (Matthew 21:5).

Hosanna. Lord, we welcome You.
