Some days are better than others… we had one of those days this week: Upon arrival to our workshop, I was greeted with sirens, both firetruck and ambulance. Our employee Jakub was arriving on his bike and was struck by a car as he entered the car park! Poor Jakub got beat up by the experience and spent the day at hospital waiting to get check out.
I stepped into Jakub’s role, as delivery driver for the day, only to have a flat tire on the highway. No problem, I called a mobile tire repair guy… only he over jacked up my new van and caused the rear suspension spring to eject ( sounded like a passing car hit my front end). Nope, now I need a tire repair AND a tow truck.
The tire guy did fix the tire, and then ‘scadadeled’ out of the scene… loser.
I get to spend $700 and lose a days work…
I did get to celebrate though; I took myself to the pub and raised a glass that I survived sitting on the side of the Highway- it’s astonishing how many vehicles ride the white line of the road shoulder.
