We are thrilled to announce the receipt of the Innovation Award at the Targeting Mitochondria Congress by the Scientific Committee of the World Mitochondria Society.

The preliminary data presented by Dr. Michela Zago was generated in collaboration with the University of Ferrara and demonstrated that Klox Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) was able to decrease total mitochondria number and increase single mitochondria volume, as a response to potential fusion events that reversed apoptotic-inducing "small sphere" mitochondria and restored the complex and branched morphological network of functioning mitochondria.

This biological impact on mitochondria, our cell’s energy-producing system, supports our hypothesis that Kleresca and LumiHeal work by targeting distressed mitochondria and cellular behavior to regenerate healthy tissue in both Dermatology and Wound Care conditions.

KLOX Technologies Inc. have received the Innovation Award for their study on the assessment of the effect of Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) on mitochondria dynamics, during Targeting Mitochondria 2019.
KLOX Technologies Inc. showed that FLE decreased total mitochondria number and increased single mitochondria volume, likely due to fusion events that reversed "small sphere" mitochondria and restored the mitochondria network (morphology) to a complex, branched network.

We had a great time at the Targeting Mitochondria Congress where our very own Dr. Michela Zago presented preliminary data on: “The Effect of Fluorescent Light Energy on Mitochondrial Dynamics”, to an audience of nearly 200 scientists in the field of Mitochondria!

Dr. Zago clearly explained how our Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) Technology promotes mitochondrial biogenesis and thus has the potential to regulate mitochondria dynamics and cell health.

Thank you to all the organizers and attendees for such an enlightening experience. We look forward to next year!
