Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the survivors, and their families and communities.

We acknowledge the privilege of living and working on Treaty 6 territory, and we acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who were here long before us and who continue to live on and care for this land. We are all treaty people, and we share the responsibility of honouring that relationship. We do not take this privilege lightly; we will do our best to care for this land we call home.

Today is a day to listen and to learn. We encourage you to take some time to tune into radio broadcasts sharing survivor stories and Indigenous voices, and to read through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action at nctr.ca. Reconciliation begins with understanding, and understanding begins with listening.

Big news! We're excited to share that The Light House Cowork and Aspira Cowork Community are working together to grow the coworking landscape in the Edmonton region.

Aspira Cowork Community is a brand new coworking and community space opening October 1st in Ellerslie at Walker Lakes Plaza, Edmonton. Built by Sarah and Todd Silver, it's a thoughtfully designed space made for solopreneurs, remote workers, small business owners, or small teams needing a place to focus and connect with likeminded people.

Through this partnership, Aspira Cowork Community will be powered by The Light House Cowork. The Light House Cowork brings 7 years of experience, systems, and coworking best practices to Aspira to help this new space go further faster with support and coaching.

More details on member perks across the two locations coming soon.

South Edmonton, this one's for you. Join us on October 1st for their grand opening.
