This has been a long time coming, the UCP promised that they would work on making public and crown land accessible for all Albertans. They started fixing the economics of the Province, then they were staring to work on social economics then COVID hit putting a lot of things on the back burner. The AOHVA did not stop working for all Albertans right to recreate on public or crown lands. We need everyone to do their part now so please take the time to do the survey. Your input matters.

Share your ideas to help shape the future of sustainable recreational Crown land use by January 15, 2021.

Edmonton, AB (February 4, 2019) – United Conservatives issued the following statement regarding the last day of the NDP government’s last-minute information session:

10/26/2018

This is the way to stand up and fight for Alberta and Alberta’s energy sector.

10/17/2018

Albertans need to ask…Why is a select group of people pushing the NDP government to create a Wildland Park in the Bighorn?

It certainly is NOT to create a beautiful recreation area for Albertans to enjoy – because the opportunity for Albertans to visit the area and partake in responsible recreation is available to everyone today.

It certainly is NOT to improve water quality – because the water leaving the North Saskatchewan watershed is some of the highest quality available in Alberta today.

It certainly is NOT to curtail the impacts of development – because regulations are in place today with Alberta industry working to some of the highest sustainable resource development standards in the world.

So why does Alberta need a Wildland Park in the Bighorn?

Could it be to satisfy the mandate of well-funded / foreign-financed organizations targeting our province, our economic prosperity and our love of and respect for our public lands?

Albertans need to ask…

How much more are you willing to give up before those working to kill our economy and our way of life actually succeed?

Do you know the extent and impact of the actions undertaken by the NDP government to Albertans’ way of life?

Have your concerns been heard?

Call 310-0000 (toll-free in Alberta), ask for Premier Notley’s office and/or Minister Phillips’ office to voice your concerns and tell them Alberta does not need a Provincial Wildland Park in the Bighorn.

Now is the time to call, email, write and meet with your municipal councillors, your MLA and even your MP. Write to your local newspapers, call in to your local radio stations – share your views and your concerns.

This is only one example of only protecting cherry picked data from studies and reports and not showing the details of those studies. like this one, linear disturbance study, others the grizzly bear study, caribou study as examples! Take a look at the reports not just the “peer reviewed science” the government is providing!
