I love my job! And so happy to be out and about again. Last week we attended The Center for Food Integrity conference in Toronto to hear about about consumer attitudes towards agriculture. Interesting stuff and really informs our work at Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan. Check out the research here: https://www.foodintegrity.ca/
Before the conference, we were fortunate to meet up with colleagues from Farm & Food Care Ontario and Farm & Food Care PEI to do some team building and to tour a mushroom farm and cucumber greenhouse. Super cool. Thanks Kelly Daynard for making that happen.
The conference was close to Eatly - a Italian market with local foods, imported Italian foods and several restaurants. We popped over with a local dairy and egg farmer and were able to find their products in the store and enjoy some gelato made from their milk!
It was a great trip for our team and thankful for the opportunity.

Roasted potatoes work well as a side dish for beef, chicken, pork and fish. The addition of mustard and fresh herbs elevates the flavour so play around with different types.

I might have mentioned before how proud I am of my brother Alan...

This week he lead us on a tour of his new workplace - Wanuskewin Heritage Park. Each time I go there I learn more... feel more... understand more... It is such an amazing place and I had not seen all their recent renovations and exhibits or their new/old herd of bison. Highly recommend a visit. 🧡
