Our hearts are with the members of the Canadian Armed Forces, their families, and all those affected by the tragedy at CFB Wainwright. We extend our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

It is with profound sadness that we confirm that a fire incident at CFB Wainwright on October 17 resulted in fatalities and injuries. Our immediate priority is supporting those affected and notifying next of kin.

Today, we honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation by reflecting on the impacts of colonialism and our shared responsibility to learn and grow.

Through educational resources and the Generations artwork by Indigenous artist Jay Joseph, our team is encouraged to continue meaningful conversations about reconciliation, healing, and respect.

School's back!

As students, teachers, and families return to their school routines, we wish everyone a wonderful first day and a successful year ahead.

Remember that school zones, bus stops, and crosswalks will be busy again. Please slow down, stay alert, and help keep our communities safe.

Have a great first day back! 📚

Some of the commissionaires working today once served on peacekeeping missions abroad.

On National Peacekeepers' Day, we recognize their contributions and thank all Canadians who have worn the blue beret in service of peace.
