2025 10 21: Good morning. , How goes it this day? Well, I hope.
How many times have a seen a meme like this over the past few years? It makes the 'virtual rounds @ least once a year, eh?
: What does this mean to you? Is the icon of you belief system appear there? If you're atheist or agnostic, or just don't care for organized religion or philosophy at all, where, on that image, do you see yourself? Whether you have no religion, philosophy, etc., with which to align yourself; that makes you feel at home, here on Earth, where to you turn for strength, wisdom, courage, consistency (flawed, though it can be, at times...), familiarity; that feeling of comfort or home?
My brother, Dave, RIP, didn't 'pray' to our mum, RIP, but whenever he was scared, confused, angry, or miserable, he would call on his memories of her. In good times, too, he would speak her name and give thanks to the woman who gave birth to him. Not to be confused with "ancestor worship"; thinking of his mother, recalling memories of their conversations, her mannerisms, opinions, morals, values, and ethics; isn't necessarily prayer; more like meditation, contemplation, introspection; thoughts and feelings relating toward his understanding of her life experience, her own beliefs, and the wisdom she imparted during her lifetime.
