We are thrilled to celebrate a major investment in our city by Hitachi Energy Canada, a global leader in electrification. Hitachi has officially acquired London’s own Canduct Industries Limited, a local success story that has been manufacturing critical transformer insulation kits on Blakie Road for over 40 years. ⚡

This acquisition is a massive win for London's economic future. Beyond supporting Canduct’s existing team of more than 300 employees, Hitachi has secured 32 acres of land in the Huron Industrial Park with plans to build a brand-new, 250,000-square-foot manufacturing plant. This major expansion is expected to bring over 100 new skilled jobs to our community, construction is slated to begin later this year.

Fantastic news for London’s health-care and education sectors!

Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry - Western University is launching a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program to help tackle the growing demand on Ontario’s health-care system.

As the first graduate-level program of its kind in Ontario, this two-year professional master’s degree will train highly skilled Physician Assistants (PAs) to support patient care in hospitals, primary care clinics, and community settings across the province.
