The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) recognizes that residents are concerned right now about wildfire, particularly as fires continue to threaten communities elsewhere in British Columbia.

🎆 Planning to celebrate Canada Day on July 1?

🚫 During a Category 2 Open Fire Prohibition (currently in place), fireworks are BANNED, along with other activities and equipment that pose a wildfire risk.

✅ Before conducting any outdoor burning activities:

• Check current fire restrictions
• Follow local bylaws and regulations
• Contact your local fire department at scrd.ca/fire-departments if you're unsure

Our training site is located at 5545 Garden Bay Road (on the road to the PH Landfill Transfer Station).
