I am working on a special project and looking for a few models each month to help out with some creativity work.
⠀
Requirements:
Straight healthy natural lashes.
No damage or sparse thin lashes.
Must not currently have eyelash extensions.
Able to lay still and relax for a few hours.
You must be comfortable with having before and after pictures taken.
You must be comfortable to receive any lash set and design that I choose & allow me to have complete creative control.

Super stoked on my new 12 max pro, In pacific blue of course 🤍

I was in desperate need of a new phone after smashing my old 8 plus. Concrete floors and iPhones don’t play well together!
⠀
As a lash tech I can’t work without a good camera for content.
I’ve only had the 12 max pro for a few days and still not too sure how I feel about this new camera. Kinda really missing the 8 plus.
It is definitely a lot different when it comes to lash photos. For some reason the new camera makes close ups look super pixelated.
Maybe there’s a trick to it with the new phone...?

Anyone else have the new 12 max pro?
What do you think about the photo quality when it comes to lash photos? Are you having the same problems?

This is what an out grown lash extension looks like.
⠀
During your lash appointment all grown out lash fans like this are removed and replaced with a brand new one at the base of your natural lash.
⠀
Why do we remove them?
To prevent damage and breakage of your natural lashes 🤍
As your natural lashes grow, the extensions grow out with it. This causes unnecessary weight in the middle of the natural lash and can cause the extension to spin your natural lash and cause damage or breakage.
⠀
This is why fills every 2-3 weeks are so important!
If you wait 4 weeks, even if you come in with 50% of your lash extensions left, after removing all grown out ones like this, you will need a full set.

Did you know that each volume fan in our lash sets is individually handmade?
⠀
Creating handmade fans takes a lot of practice and talent. You need to get used to maneuvering tiny little lashes and forming perfectly balanced + consistent fans with one hand, while your other hand is busy isolating one natural lash on your clients eye. You also need to master the correct amount of adhesive so that perfect little fan you just made doesn’t close or weigh your clients natural lashes down 🤍

This is why fresh sets and fills take so long. You can’t rush the magic 🪄

I remember my first set like it was yesterday. I was soooo nervous!
⠀
Working as an esthetician, I really wanted to get into doing lashes.
It was brand new in the industry and I wanted to know everything about it.
My boss at the time had taken a training course but decided that she didn’t want to do it. So me being eager to learn, she gave me her kit and said have fun!

The next day I showed up to work with a shocking surprise. She had booked me in for a lash fill with one of the salons clients and said you have to start somewhere... 😳😩

Took me 3 hours to do a classic fill!!
Pretty sure I used .18 or 2.0 classic lashes cuz those were the only ones in the kit. And of course I had no idea about lengths so when my client said she liked them long I said okay.... 🙊

My poor client took it like a champ. She knew it was my first time and was totally ok with me trying on her. I was shaking the whole time. Literally would just look at how the other lashes were placed from the previous set and tried to manipulate what was going on.

Lashes were flopping from side to side 🙈
I had no idea about placement, proper isolation, natural lash health etc.
Complete gong show 🤣

Fast forward 6+ years and I am educated AF with tons of certifications and experience!
⠀
We all need to start somewhere. My tip for you if you really want to get into lashing, Is to Invest in yourself. Invest in your education!

The more knowledge you have the better for a Lash Artist you will be 🤍
