Have you ever suddenly smelled a familiar scent that reminds you of someone you love who has passed? 🤍

Maybe it’s their perfume, cigarette smoke, a certain flower, their favourite food, or even the smell of their home.

This is something I hear about all the time, and it’s also something I experience during readings.

It’s called clairalience, or sometimes clairscent, and it’s one of the ways we can receive information intuitively through our sense of smell.

During a reading, I might suddenly smell something very specific and have absolutely no idea why it’s coming through. Then I mention it and my client immediately knows exactly what it means or who it belongs to. I still think those moments are so cool.

I’ve also had so many clients tell me that this happens to them outside of readings. They’ll be driving, sitting at home, walking through a store, or just going about their day when suddenly they smell something that instantly makes them think of someone they’ve lost.

Sometimes these little experiences are easier to brush off than they are to pay attention to.

Clairalience is just one of the different “clairs” we use in mediumship. We can receive information through seeing, hearing, feeling, knowing, smelling and even tasting.

Learning how to recognize the way intuitive information comes through for you is such a big part of developing your mediumship.

It’s also something I love teaching and exploring more deeply with my students in my mediumship classes. ✨

🍂 Is anyone else starting to feel that little shift in the air?

Fall is right around the corner, and as we move into Virgo season, it feels like such a beautiful time to slow down, come back to ourselves, and notice what might be ready for a little more intention in our lives. ✨

There’s something about the changing seasons that always feels like an invitation to reset. To clear out what we no longer need, get grounded again, and make a little more space for what we want to carry with us into the months ahead. 🍁

But also… I’m ready for all the cozy fall things. 😂🤎
