“Road conditions across the island of Newfoundland are very poor, as snow and high winds continue. If you don’t absolutely need to be on the roads, please stay home and stay safe. Bonus: you can tune in to see Canada go for the gold!🥇

If your travel is essential, please slow down and drive with caution. Give yourself lots of time to arrive and keep well back from other vehicles.

🚨ROUTE 233 CLOSED DUE TO COLLISION🚨 (Jan 20)

~ 1:05 p.m; Route 233 near Bloomfield is closed to travel in both directions due to a motor vehicle collision. As a result, it also cannot be used as a detour from the Trans-Canada Highway, which remains closed to traffic near Port Blandford.

Motorists should expect significant delays. Please drive with extreme caution and patience and consider delaying any non-essential travel.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY ⚠️

Clarenville RCMP is responding to a crash involving a tractor trailer on the Trans-Canada Highway near Port Blandford. Both eastbound lanes and at least one westbound lane are currently blocked.

Motorists are asked to drive with extreme caution and obey all instructions from responders. All drivers are also reminded that the Move Over Law requires you to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles.
