🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO ROUTINE! ♻️

The backpacks are packed, lunches are ready, and school is back in session! 🚌✏️

As everyone settles into a new routine, it’s also a great time to get back into the habit of recycling your empty beverage containers. ♻️💚

🥤 Juice boxes from school lunches
🧃 Beverage cartons
💧 Water bottles
🥛 Milk & dairy beverage containers
🥤 Pop cans & bottles

Save them up and bring them to McLennan Bottle Depot for your refund! 💰

💡 Family Tip: Give the kids their own recycling bin at home and let them save their refunds toward something special. It’s an easy way to teach them about recycling and saving money!

From all of us at McLennan Bottle Depot , we wish our local students, teachers, school staff and families a wonderful, safe & successful school year! 🍎📚✨

♻️ A FRIENDLY RECYCLING REMINDER ♻️

We love receiving your refundable beverage containers — but please remember to keep household garbage out of your recycling bags. 🗑️🚫

Before bringing your containers to the depot, please check your bags and remove items such as:

❌ Food & food wrappers
❌ Used tissues/paper towels
❌ Household garbage
❌ Non-beverage containers
❌ Other waste that does not belong with your refundable containers

Keeping garbage separate helps us maintain a cleaner, safer and more efficient workplace for our staff and customers. 💚

Thank you for helping us keep recycling clean!

♻️ A Quick Reminder From McLennan Bottle Depot ! ♻️

Did you know that we can only accept containers that held a beverage and are part of Alberta’s beverage container refund system? 🥤🧃

One common area of confusion is Tetra Pak/carton containers. Just because a container looks like a beverage carton doesn’t automatically mean it’s refundable.

✅ Beverage cartons — such as juice, iced tea and other eligible beverages — may be refundable.
❌ Non-beverage cartons — such as soup, broth, sauces, cooking products and other food items — are not refundable.

A simple way to remember it: If it wasn’t a beverage, it doesn’t belong at the bottle depot. 💚

Thank you for helping us keep sorting simple, accurate and fair for everyone. We truly appreciate our community! ♻️
