Not to downplay the importance of monitoring soluble salts in our clay bodies, but the process does provide an ample amount of time to create soluble salt themed tongue twisters.

A century ago, Medicine Hat, Alberta was the hub of ceramics manufacturing in Canada. 🔥 Bricks, sewer pipe, crocks, tile, dishware - if it was ceramic it was being manufactured here and shipped across the country.

🤠 Today, Plainsman Clays is the last operating industrial site and clay manufacturer in this nationally designated historic district.

In addition to the original Plainsman building that was constructed in the early 1970s, Plainsman now occupies the site of the former Alberta Clay Products Company and currently uses warehousing once occupied by Hycroft China.

The evolution of the area has been significant - not least of which, shout out to trees! 🌳
