St Barbara has recently entered into a Community Partnership Agreement with United Way of Pictou County, valued at $16,500, to help support their Backpack and School Supplies Program.

As part of the program, members of our team recently visited Frank H. MacDonald School and Thorburn School to help deliver school supplies to students ahead of the new school year.

We are happy to support an initiative that helps ensure local students have the supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn and succeed. Programs like this make a meaningful difference for students and families throughout our communities.

Thank you to United Way Pictou County for the important work they do and for giving us the opportunity to be part of this initiative. We look forward to continuing to support programs that create opportunities for local youth and strengthen the communities where we live and work.

St Barbara is proud to announce a new Community Partnership Agreement (CPA) with the St. Mary's Trail Association valued at $75,000 over the next three years.

The St. Mary’s Trail Association plays an important role in maintaining and promoting the trail network throughout the St. Mary’s area, providing opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and connect with the natural beauty of the region.

Through this partnership, St Barbara is glad to support the Association’s continued work and help contribute to the maintenance, and enhancement of the local trail system for the community to enjoy.

We are grateful to the volunteers and members of the St. Mary’s Trail Association for the time and dedication they put into maintaining these important community spaces.

We look forward to seeing the continued impact of this partnership and enjoying the trails for years to come!

St Barbara is the Presenting Sponsor of the NS Mi'kmaw Summer Games, an important celebration of Mi’kmaq culture, community, and youth sport.

The Games provide an opportunity for young athletes to compete, develop their skills, build friendships, and celebrate their Mi’kmaq identity and culture. Beyond the competition, the Games create a space for families, communities, volunteers, and supporters to come together and celebrate the achievements and potential of Mi’kmaq youth.

Many members of our Atlantic team have also been enjoying the opportunity to volunteer and be part of the Games throughout the week. We are grateful to everyone who has made our team members feel so welcomed throughout the Games.

This past weekend St Barbara was pleased to support the Pictou County Rugby Club Tournament and the opportunity it provided for young athletes to compete, learn, and grow through sport.

We believe opportunities like this are an important part of building strong communities. Whether it's competing on the field, cheering from the sidelines, or volunteering behind the scenes, everyone plays a role in making these tournaments happen.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, coaches, and families who helped make the tournament such a success. We were glad to be part of it!

Last week members of our community engagement team at St Barbara presented a $10,000 donation to Eastern Counties Regional Libraries to support their work in communities across the region, including the purchase of new books and resources for local library users.

We hope this contribution helps bring new stories, ideas, and learning opportunities to library shelves and into the hands of community members.

Members of the St Barbara Atlantic team were proud to take part in this year's JSTRONG Golf Tournament in Yarmouth, helping support an incredible cause that makes sports and recreation more accessible to local youth.

The JSTRONG Fund was created in memory of Jadon Robinson and works to ensure that financial barriers don't prevent young people in the Yarmouth area from experiencing the many benefits of sport and recreation. Every dollar raised helps support youth in the community, making this fundraiser a great example of the impact that can come from a community coming together.

This year's tournament raised more than $30,000, and we were happy to have members of our team be part of such a successful fundraiser.

We are accelerating our Nova Scotia exploration program with a 64% increase in investment from A$2.5 million in FY26 to A$4.1 million in FY27.

To support this, we’ve doubled the size of our exploration team, with a further expansion and increased program anticipated for FY28.

Key Q4 June FY26 to FY27 work programs include reverse Circulation (RC) and Interface Reverse Circulation (IFRC) drilling of up to 105 holes for 4,400 m testing between five and seven targets near the 15 Mile Processing Hub; and at Patton Falcon and Little Meander.

We’re also undertaking deposit and near mine geophysical surveys and structural studies to advance drill targeting in the brownfield environment across the 15-Mile, Old Austen Mine and Touquoy deposits and their immediate surroundings.

We’ll also collect more than 2,000 till and rock chip samples across the 15-Mile Processing Hub (70%) and regional exploration targets (30%), testing up to 14 targets.

St Barbara Managing Director and CEO Andrew Strelein said: “St Barbara has previously announced the acquisition and pe***ng of attractive areas of known gold mineralisation that hosts numerous targets within 75 kilometres around the 15-Mile Processing Hub Project in Nova Scotia, while continuing to advance our development of the currently defined eleven year plus production centre.

“We can now share the high intensity work program that we have had underway commencing in the last quarter that will extend to June 2027. This 64% increase in exploration spend and doubling of the exploration team will allow us to maximise the opportunities we have in Nova Scotia.”
