Some families just have a way of finding a very special place in your heart. ❤️

I've had the absolute honour of photographing this beautiful family through so many chapters of their lives. From those precious newborn days to family portraits, magical Santa visits, and so many wonderful moments in between.

Somewhere along the way, they became so much more than clients. They became friends. The kind of friends I genuinely can't wait to see, where our sessions begin with the biggest hugs, catching up on life, and THEN we get around to taking photographs!

This time, we found ourselves at a beautiful historic castle, creating a little more magic together. And while the setting was absolutely stunning, it's the love, laughter, and genuine connection this family shares that makes these images so special.

One of the greatest gifts of doing what I do is being invited back, year after year, to watch families grow and to preserve a little piece of their story along the way.

So much love for this sweet family. Thank you for continuing to let me be part of your lives. It truly means the world to me. ❤️

I recently had the rare opportunity to photograph this exceptionally beautiful senior, four-legged family member, and what an absolute privilege it was!

There is something so incredibly touching about photographing our beloved pets in their golden years. The gentle eyes, the beautiful grey hairs, and a lifetime of love and loyalty wrapped up in one very special soul.

It was such a beautiful session, and one that reminded me just how important it is to capture the ones who hold such a special place in our hearts.

Because they aren't just pets. They're our family. ❤️ 🐾

Sometimes the sweetest moments happen right in the middle of the chaos 🤍

This beautiful mama and her little one, tucked into the fall colours at Kelso.

Family sessions with little ones aren't about everything being perfectly posed or everyone looking at the camera at exactly the right moment. They're about finding those little pockets of connection in between it all.

A cuddle. A quiet second with mama. The way they fit into your arms right now.

And somehow, when everything else falls away, this is what remains. 🤍

These are the moments I love to preserve — because this season of motherhood passes far too quickly.

Golden Hour at the Farm

These beautiful clients have been coming to me for years, and somehow, each session seems to be even more beautiful than the last. ❤️

This year, we did something a little different. Mom booked a beautiful horse farm for their family session—not just as a backdrop for photos, but as an experience the kids (and the whole family!) could enjoy together.

And it was SO much fun.

There were plenty of silly moments, lots of laughs, some wonderfully sweet interactions, and of course, a few new farmyard friends who were more than happy to be part of the evening. 🐴

I absolutely love sessions like this. The beautiful photographs are important, but it's the moments that happen in between—the laughter, the connections, the kids just being themselves—that make them truly special.

Some sessions just mean a little more. 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful family over the weekend — but calling them “clients” doesn’t really feel quite right anymore.

Over the years, they have become very dear friends, and the time we spend together is something I genuinely cherish. There’s usually a lot of laughing, catching up, and enjoying each other’s company... with a little photography mixed in along the way.

One of the things I treasure most about doing this for so many years is the relationships that have grown from it. Being invited into people’s lives, watching families grow and change, and realizing somewhere along the way that clients have become friends is pretty special.

So grateful for this beautiful family, their friendship, and another afternoon together creating memories. 🤍

Five years old. ❤️

I’ve been photographing this sweet girl since she was brand new, just like I did with her big brother before her (who is somehow 11 now!). And I swear, sometimes that’s what makes these sessions hit me a little differently.

Childhood goes by so incredibly fast.

We’re always good at remembering to photograph the “big” moments—the newborn days, first birthdays, Christmases—but somewhere along the way, the ordinary little milestones can slip past us.

Five might not seem like a huge milestone...but one day, these will be the photographs that bring you right back to exactly who she was at five.

And that makes them pretty important. ❤️

I am so very grateful and touched that I’ve been trusted to capture so many chapters of this family’s story. Watching these little humans grow up in front of my camera is truly one of the sweetest parts of what I do.
