Thank you to everyone that volunteered and those that came out to enjoy the 2nd annual community Day at Splashtown Manitoulin

The Splashtown Manitoulin Community Day was an absolute blast, and we are still smiling from such an incredible turnout! 🌊☀️

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out to beat the heat, catch up with neighbours, and make the day so special.

Together, we powered through a whole lot of burgers, hotdogs, and freezies! Most importantly, we came together to support a great cause. A special thank you goes to Andrew Orr of the Mindemoya Foodland and his grill master skills! 🍔🌭

Thanks to your amazing generosity, we collected a bunch of donations for the local Food Bank! 🛒❤️

Neighbors helping neighbors is what it's all about

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to Splashtown Manitoulin for their generous donation of the new swim raft, now anchored at the Mindemoya Government Dock.

This project was made possible through the support of several incredible community partners, including Jake's Home Centre, The Lewis Team- Royal LePage, Mindemoya Foodland, and Manitoulin Chrysler. We would also like to thank Pirate's Cove Cottages for the use of their boat each season, so our maintenance crew can safely install the raft.

The swim raft has been a favourite summer attraction for swimmers of all ages. It also plays an important role in our swimming lessons program by providing participants with the opportunity to build confidence and develop essential swimming skills.

Thanks to the generosity of these local businesses, this much-loved feature will continue to provide fun, learning, and lasting memories for many years to come.

On behalf of the Municipality of Central Manitoulin, thank you for investing in our community and helping make our waterfront an even better place to enjoy the summer. Your support is truly appreciated! 💙🏊‍♀️

🌊 SPLASHTOWN MANITOULIN COMMUNITY DAY 🌊
There's nothing better than a community coming together.
Join us on Thursday, August 6 for a day of family fun, community spirit, and giving back!

🍔 FREE Community BBQ 🕚 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We'll also be collecting non-perishable food donations throughout the day in support of our local food bank. While a donation is not required for admission, we encourage everyone who is able to bring a few non-perishable food items to help local families in need. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
