We are pleased to announce that our FBL (Fi****ms Business Licence) has been approved (again).

We had a great business inspector!

Glad to know we are squeaky legal for the next 3 years!

We are working on our 2026 schedule and have dates for all the courses now. I’m just taking a break to watch Olympic curling.

This is why we promote Lt. Col. Dave Grossman’s books and seminars! And why we’re proud to call him friend.

Under stress, the body does not fail us—it performs exactly as it was designed to. Heart rate increases, vision narrows, fine motor skills diminish, and the brain shifts into survival mode. These responses are not flaws; they are ancient, life-preserving mechanisms. The determining factor is training. Training teaches the body and mind what “right” looks like under pressure. Without it, stress amplifies chaos. With it, stress amplifies performance.

We stand with the Toronto Police Association.

We are in the middle of budget season here in Toronto and we continue to ask Prime Minister Mark Carney and Minister Gary Anandasangaree to stop wasting taxpayer dollars on the gun buyback program and send even a portion of these funds to Mayor Olivia Chow and Chief Demkiw.

Clearly, the program is ineffective, and the Minister knows what other public safety and community wellbeing initiatives could be achieved with this funding. It’s time to do the right thing.

From the CSAAA (our fi****ms business association), posted 19 November 2025:

Compensation For Businesses Delayed

Public Safety has informed us that the relaunch of the “buyback” claims and compensation program or “Assault Style Fi****ms Compensation Program” for prohibited inventory will be delayed until the New Year due to unexpected internal changes and complications within the program.

We recognize how many businesses are relying on this program and waiting for compensation for fi****ms they are unable to sell, and we understand the strain these delays create. We will provide an update as soon as a new launch date, or a more specific ETA is confirmed.

CSAAA is still actively working to ensure the budget for business claims is expanded significantly, so that every business submitting a claim can be fully and properly compensated. These discussions are ongoing at the federal level, and we will share further details as they become available.

Fi****ms marking decision deferred to 2027.

Fi****ms marking decision deferred to 2027.

The Fi****ms Marking Regulations is a file we know has caused significant concern across the industry for years. These regulations, which require extensive permanent markings on all imported and manufactured fi****ms, were scheduled to come into force on December 1, 2025.

CSAAA worked earlier this year to have the regulations deferred yet again until they can be changed significantly or eliminated altogether. That updated timeline was not reflected in the most recent published materials and the December 2025 date remains on the documentation.

We are pleased to confirm that the deferral to 2027 is indeed happening, and the regulations will not be coming into force in 2025. Official documents will be released shortly, and we will share them with members as soon as they are available.

As written, the Marking Regulations pose significant technical and financial challenges for Canadian businesses, with no clear benefit to public safety. We will continue to advocate against these unworkable and ineffective regulations.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
