“RELIC OF THE TRUE CROSS"

A piece of the sacred wood of the cross will be on display in front of the main altar for Palm Sunday and during Holy Week. It is part of the St. Michael’s Museum collection of artifacts and its most treasured historical piece. This Relic was brought from Rome by Bishop Louis O’Leary where he studied Canon Law. It was passed along to Mother Kane of the Religious Hospitallers of St Joseph and eventually donated to the St. Michael’s Museum for preservation. This Relic has a Certificate of Authenticity from the Archbishop of Patren, Josephus Maria Constantini.
