A beautiful group heading home to an Infantry NCO. The days are long and the years short in the Army. I knew this Warrant Officer when he was a young Private.

It is great to have this group mounted and cleaned for the Grandson of the Solider he never met. It is the first step of this families' journey in discovering their collective military heritage.

Many of us do not realize how important medals are to a families' heritage. As a rule of thumb we have found it only takes two generations for the knowledge of service to begin to fade.

Honestly, this is the main reason we got into medal mounting at Generational Honour.

Our family was dealt a horrible blow when we had many of our war service medals stolen and pawned off. Through diaries, memorbilia and attics dug in, we have nearly recovered the memories of our military heritage.

There is never a better time to preserve your families' heritage than the present.

Was so exciting to mount two medals that had never crossed the table. What was even more exciting was being able to meet the man this group belongs to. Veterans of Korea seem to be a rare group of outstanding individuals.
