Let’s officially close out 2025!

In a nutshell:

For the calendar year, sales volume dropped 11.2% compared to 2024, with average prices down about 4.7% as well.

Obviously that’s not what you’re hoping to hear when you own a home, but considering external factors, 2025 has shown our market is stable.

Looking ahead to 2026, we should expect a stronger housing market, with lower interest rates and less volatility. And, looking further ahead, we should see a significant rebound as we close out the decade.

Here’s the deal:

Nothing surprising here, with the colder weather people naturally don’t want to get out, and typically avoid moving.

Sales volume was down compared to last November, with inventory still sitting high, giving Buyers the chance to get a deal if they have a new home on their holiday shopping list.

Sellers, heading into the new year we should begin to see the market take a turn, since economic growth figures were stronger than anticipated (which should comfort buyers and get them engaged again).
