Federal Skilled Worker Program changes will especially help those classroom teachers wishing to continue their career in the classroom here in Canada. Many Canadian teachers born during the 'baby-boom' years are near the end of their working careers or are now retiring. New Canadian teachers are not graduating in sufficient numbers, opening opportunities for teachers able to work in either or both of English and French. If you are a teacher, and wish to continue your classroom teaching career in Canada, check out the Upper Canada Immigration web site and contact us.

Some job titles gone, others added C anada has significantly changed the Federal Skilled Worker Program, adding a new category – Education – and removing some job titles and NOC codes under other c…

New two-step process for Study Permits: Canada has implemented a new two-step process to allow students to start their courses on-line from their home country and then travel to Canada to continue. This is a temporary measure to counter difficulties faced by international students who are unable to obtain key documents that are required for their permits to be approved.Their first stage approval will allow them to enroll as international students and study on-line until such time that they can finalize their permits by submitting mandatory documents and evidence. We know that during this challenging period when Canadians are trying to contain and reverse the outbreak of the Corona Virus, people will think carefully about going to meetings and travelling. That is as it should be, and we are doing the same, trying to follow guidelines about minimizing the chance of contacting the virus, or putting our clients at risk. If you were planning to come and meet at our office at Dixie Road in Mississauga, consider calling and doing our business on the phone.

Much of our business is conducted on the web and the phone (or WhatsApp) as it is. In the coming weeks, at least until Easter, keep doing business with us, and keep it on the phone, by e-mail and by WhatsApp. Expect that routine things will take longer. Mail and packages may take longer to receive, and services that we are used to receiving quickly may take longer, perhaps much longer in the short term, or may be interrupted. Together, by being vigilant and careful, we will all get through the Corona Virus.
