The International Sister Cities Initiative (ISCI) and Red Media Circle join the PFUJ Workers and RIUJ in expressing profound grief and fierce condemnation over the killing of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil.

Amal was killed in a targeted Israeli drone strike in Southern Lebanon. Reports from the Lebanese Health Ministry confirm that she was "pursued" and targeted even while seeking shelter—a clear and calculated act of violence against a member of the press.

🚩 A STAND FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE

The systematic elimination of journalists in Palestine and Lebanon is not "collateral damage"; it is a war crime designed to silence the witnesses of history.

Our Unified Demands:

⚖️ Legal Accountability: We demand the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations take immediate notice of these atrocities.

🚫 End Impunity: We call for the issuance of arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu to face trial for war crimes and the targeted killing of media professionals.

🛡️ Global Protection: We urge the international community to enforce the safety of journalists as protected personnel under international law.

On World Water Day, we recognize that minimizing water losses enhances the financial sustainability of utilities, facilitating more efficient and resilient service provision, ultimately contributing to a more equitable and sustainable urban water system for one of Pakistan's largest and fastest-growing cities.

Strengthening the Value Chain through Global Diplomacy | 🇨🇦🇹🇳
As part of our commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality), the International Sister Cities Initiative is thrilled to spotlight the recent collaboration between Canadian and Tunisian agricultural producers.

The PSSEETAT project serves as a model for how subnational partnerships can drive real-world impact. By creating a space for Québecois and Tunisian women to exchange technical expertise in marketing and cooperative governance, we are ensuring that the benefits of international diplomacy reach the grassroots level.

Key Impacts Observed:

Enhanced cross-cultural mentorship between female entrepreneurs.

Strategic alignment on sustainable agricultural value chains.

Concrete advancement of women's leadership in rural governance.

Canada’s support of these initiatives reaffirms the belief that our world is stronger when our women are empowered.
