Asylum Claim Accepted!!
While many of the asylum claimants have been uncertain about their claims due to the recent changes after Bill C-12, there are some good news coming up. This could also be due to the expedited processes of reducing the backlog.

Bill C-3 enacted as of December 15, 2025
What does this Bill C-3 is about?
• In 2009, the first-Generation limit to Canadian citizenship by descent was introduced that meant a child born or adopted outside Canada is not automatically a Canadian citizen by descent if their Canadian parent was also born or adopted outside Canada.
• On December 19, 2023, Ontario Superior Court of Justice declared that the first-generation limit to citizenship is unconstitutional.
• In response to the Court’s 2023 ruling, IRCC announced interim measures to support those affected by the first-generation limit.
• Now, that the Citizenship has been amended, IRCC will process applications using the new rules. A Canadian parent born or adopted abroad can now pass on citizenship to their child born or adopted outside Canada today or in the future, provided they can demonstrate at the time of application that they spent three years in Canada prior to their child’s birth or adoption. This approach supports fairness and clarity for Canadian families abroad while reinforcing the principle that real, demonstrated ties to Canada guide citizenship by descent.
• Individuals born before December 15, 2025, who would have been citizens if not for the first-generation limit or other outdated rules, can now apply for proof of citizenship.
• The new law creates a modern, consistent path for citizenship by descent, supporting fairness and clarity for Canadian families abroad. These changes reflect the evolving nature of Canadian families and the importance of maintaining a meaningful connection to Canada.

Effective March 25, 2025, IRCC will be implementing changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for both the current candidates in the Express Entry pool and future applicants.

This applies to all candidates who have job offer points in their Express Entry profile, the additional CRS points will be removed.

If we look at it from a different perspective, this will bring a fair chance for those who don't have a job offer.
However, we understand how frustrating this change could be for those who's scores were topped up with these additional points and now they will lose it.
Overall, this may be good for everyone because or will bring down the CRS.

Assalam Alaikum,
We understand that many of you were waiting for January 2025 with the hope that parent/grandparent sponsorship will reopen. But this year many are now disappointed that no new applications will be called or no new pool will be created.
However, there is always a super visa for eligible Canadian children to invite their parents.
We have put up a blog on why this program has been paused and how many applications will be processed that were submitted in 2024.
