Repurposed Cherry Change Table Top - Got a call recently from a lady who wished to have her son's change table top repurposed into a memory box. Her son, who is now in his twenties, thought it would be great to have a something to house his school medals and other keepsakes. After many designs and drafts, I came up with this and I must say, I'm pretty proud of my carpentry skills with this one. :-)

Hope everyone is enjoying this great summer! 🌼 I had a chance to relax a little in July but August got me busy again with new projects, including house painting - just finishing up a bedroom and closets for a lovely lady in Mississauga. That's a new one for me and a nice change of pace while working off site.

Summer's just around the corner but it sure feels like it started already. This great weather has been wonderful for refinishing. Just finished this little maple dining room set for a nice Milton couple. Rustic white and burnt umber glazing enhanced with onyx stained top. So classy!

Finished a little side project today. Unfortunately I forgot to take a "before picture" (again...) but let me tell you, if I didn't take it off my neighbour's hands, it was going a the road on garbage day. Happy to have salvaged it and saved from the landfill. I will send it to Millionnaire's Daughter next week for sale. This student desk is solid wood with an iron base and the top has typographic art and a nifty chalkboard.

And so it is done! A new "First" for me - painting kitchen cabinets. Sure beats buying new ones and I'm really happy with the end results. Surprisingly only took 2 weeks to do. Still needs new counter and a few minor tweaks to get the kitchen where I want it to be but overall, what a drastic difference. Love it!
