Made these from scrap that i found on job site-Broken column shoes and column cut offs-Discarded trim and some paint and caulking i had left over-$12.00 for the granite tiles.

I recently visited some friends north of Toronto who are framing carpenters. Apparently many GC's have opted to go with prefabricated floors and walls. They use a crane to put sections of floor and walls into place. In the past the crane was only used for steel beams and the roof package, occasionally lifting a roof that was built on the ground. This should be applied everywhere, much easier on the carpenter with less downtime because of back and knee injuries etc. etc. More time effective with greater unit output resulting in quicker completion (move in date) Man we could have used this when i first started!
