• Unsolicited Requests: Legitimate delivery services (like USPS, FedEx, or Royal Mail) do not demand surprise credit card payments or OTP codes via random SMS links.
• In-App Notification Checks: For platform alerts (like Instagram or Meta warnings), you can always check real notifications directly inside the official app under your security settings rather than trusting an external message.

What You Should Do Instead
• Do not click any links or scan any QR codes inside the message.

• Unattended Terminals: Leaving a cab or mobile workstation unlocked means anyone passing by—at a rest stop, fuel station, or parking lot—can gain instant access to your entire network.

• Direct Network Entry: Physical access bypasses firewalls and multi-factor authentication, turning an open screen into an open door.

• Dispatch and Fleet Exposure: Leaving dispatch software active risks unauthorized changes to routes, manifest theft, customer data exposure, or tampering with electronic logging devices (ELDs).

• The "Side-Door" Threat: Attackers do not always need complex malware; they often rely on human habits and quick physical shortcuts.

Using easily guessable combinations like "password123" or your truck’s unit number leaves your fleet vulnerable to cyber threats. If an unauthorized person gains access to your account, they can compromise sensitive company data, alter delivery routes, or disrupt critical freight loads.
To properly protect your business and cargo, create a strong, complex password. Ensure it includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and unique symbols. A secure system keeps your operations moving safely and ensures that confidential information stays restricted to the right eyes.

Here's a list of the top 10 most commonly used and breached passwords globally, which present the highest risk for unauthorized access and consist of simple numeric sequences and basic default terms.

• Load Boards & Banking Info 💳

If you're using the same password for your dispatch app as you do for your personal email, you're leaving the digital gate wide open. A breach can stall your truck, mess with your pay, and compromise your personal data.

Your pre-trip cybersecurity checklist:
