This is the first day that Kerese and I teamed up to embark on leading the legacy of Renewing Hope Agency.

What started around a kitchen table, with a baby in our arms and big vision on the wall, is becoming something bigger than us.

We were social service workers and community developers with hearts that could not ignore the needs of those on the frontlines.

Because we had walked the frontlines ourselves, we knew the heaviness, the weight, and the loneliness it carried.

We wanted to bring hope to the places that felt hopeless.

We wanted to make people feel less alone.

We wanted to encourage, equip, and empower.

And so, Renewing Hope Agency was born, a space where hope is renewed, burdens are shared, and those who serve can be strengthened to keep serving.

Because hope multiplies when it is given, not just received.

The Legacy Formula was birthed from a place of worship.

On August 15th, 2023, the Lord woke me up.

It was 3am. With groggy eyes, I turned over and I heard Him say, "I have something for you. Will you come meet with Me?"

This is one of those moments that a simple yes will change the course of your life as you know it.

Tired, I said "yes" and stood to my feet.

I walked into my studio and taped a brown paper to the wall because that's how I hear from God most clearly.

I wrote Renewing Hope Agency at the top of the paper.

Hours later, what emerged is what we now call The Legacy Formula, a process that we walk organizations through that consecrates their vision and mission back to His.

It's powerful, honestly. Every time we do the process, heaven invades and you can feel His presence so tangibly in the room.

Teams enter the room feeling chaotic and misaligned, and leave the room consecrated and refocused on His heart for their organization.

I never knew the power of a simple yes until I said it and the course of my life, and the lives of the organizations we now work with, are forever changed.
