If you’ve driven by lately, you may have noticed there’s a lot happening at Bearcan HQ in Richibucto.

We are in the middle of major renovations to create new office space for our team and give this building a fresh start. For us, this is more than a new location. It is an investment in the community we are from, live in, and are proud to call home.

As Bearcan has grown, so has the economic impact of what we are building here in rural New Brunswick. Today, our operations support approximately 200 indirect jobs, along with 35 full-time jobs in Inkerman at our wall and truss manufacturing facility and another 20 well-paying local jobs in the Richibucto area.

Our Richibucto location is already supporting our office and logistics operations, with plenty of room for Bearcan to grow in the years ahead. That growth may eventually include more indoor assembly of the structural components we use in our housing projects. Any future work of that nature would be clean, quiet, indoors, with no odours and no heavy or volatile material processing.

We know the history of this property because we lived through it alongside our neighbours, friends, and families. That is why being a good neighbour and treating this site with care and respect means so much to us.

This space gives us room to create even more opportunities, support the local economy, and continue our mission of helping Atlantic Canada build affordable homes in rural communities.

We are also planning an open house at our new home in Richibucto and look forward to welcoming community members and families to tour the newly renovated spaces, meet our team, and see firsthand what is taking shape here.

Everyone will be welcome. Stay tuned for more details.

We are excited about what is ahead and proud to see this property begin a new chapter with a local team that calls this community home.
