❄️ Due to ongoing severe weather conditions, City Hall, Codiac Transpo, and all other non-essential municipal services will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24. The City’s Emergency Measures team remains on standby.

The Kay Arena and Green Foot Energy 4-plex will be closing at 6 p.m. today and will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Senior and parent & tot skates are cancelled.

The situation will be monitored overnight and throughout the morning. If needed, an update regarding operations for the remainder of the day will be provided in the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Significant snowfall, strong winds, and blowing snow possible.Total snowfall amounts: 15 to 25 cm.Maximum wind gusts: Northeasterly 60 to 80 km/h.Locations: Southern, Central, and eastern New Brunswick.Time span: Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.Remarks: An intense low pressure system tracking across Nova Scotia Monday night is expected to bring hazardous conditions to portions of New Brunswick. The worst conditions are currently expected to be along the Fundy Coast and through southeastern New Brunswick where a Yellow level - winter storm warning has been issued. Higher than normal Waters levels are also expected along eastern facing coastlines of the Northumberland Strait on Tuesday.Additional warnings are likely to be issued/expanded as this event draws nearer.Snow accumulation may make travel slow or hazardous. Roads and walkways could become slippery and difficult to navigate. Strong winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility in blowing and drifting snow.Plan ahead in case schools or scheduled activities are cancelled.Make sure snow removal equipment (e.g., shovels or blowers) and supplies are prepared in advance.Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Hey everyone!!machines have made a 2nd pass through the night. Once the roads get cleared again, we will be around for a full cleanup. Please note some driveways weren't completely open due to the size, we wanted to make sure everyone could get in and out incase of emergency,
