😰🤔 It’s normal for your students to be curious about why teachers are on strike. However, this may lead to some uncomfortable conversations.
Check out these answers to your students’ most pressing questions! 📝💬
1️⃣ How much money do teachers make? A: Our salaries depend on things like how long we’ve been teaching, how much schooling we did, etc... Part of our money goes into something called a pension. Let’s look into what a pension is together.
2️⃣ Can teachers be fired for going on strike? A: In many places, teachers are legally allowed to go on strike without being fired for it. Going on strike is a way for them to express their concerns to the government and improve their working conditions. There are rules and laws around strikes that protect the rights of workers.
