Earlier this month, I had the privilege of serving as a judge for the Enactus National Student Entrepreneur competition at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal. To say I was blown away is an understatement.

Judging the three outstanding finalists was a masterclass in innovation:

🏆 Winner: Connor Kapahi & Mandel Diagnostics — revolutionizing vision care with early macular degeneration detection.
🥈 Runner-up: Laila Burns & Sielo Robotics — empowering independence through AI-powered robotic arms for wheelchairs.
🥉 2nd Runner-up: Ethan Done & PathoScan — protecting global food security with rapid, in-field crop pathogen testing.

Beyond the brilliant pitches, the energy of over 700 participants cheering each other on was incredibly moving 🙏🏼

True leadership is about fostering impact, and the future of entrepreneurship is in phenomenal hands. Huge thanks to the team and board for the connection and the opportunity to help shape this journey.

I’m looking forward to joining this panel on Engineering to Entrepreneurship at POWE McGill, following the screening of How She Dares — a documentary by Zoonie Nguyen, B. Eng. - a war refugee, corporate leader, and women’s advocate - as she explores resilience, career transitions, and the realities of building something new.

If you’ve ever questioned your path, considered doing something different, or felt the pull toward building something of your own… this conversation will likely resonate.

Would love to see some familiar faces there — and meet new ones too 🤍

🗓️ March 26, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 McGill University (Screening & Panel: MC304, Networking: McGill Engine Open Space (FDA5))

🎉 The evening will then conclude with a networking session featuring snacks and refreshments. This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

So this is 40 ✨ 2026 started as a rollercoaster. January had high highs - ringing in the new year in Barcelona and returning to some fun, exploring my first winter in Montreal. And then February hit with the lowest lows.

Was it SAD, was it death, was it disappointment, a broken heart, or anything else in between? A breathwork session that unleashed a wave of unfortunate events until it brought me to complete exhaustion and surrender.

I was afraid to turn 40, feeling like a complete mess - so tangled up I could no longer distinguish one emotion from another. But again, surrender. Is there really any other way?

And just as sneaky as it came, three days after the full moon eclipse (I’m not one to follow astrology, but oh boy, this really happened), that heaviness and sadness completely disappeared, making space for acceptance, grounding, and presence.

Finally, I arrive in my 40s with a peaceful heart. Life will always have its ups and downs, and we can’t really time it to our convenience. In hindsight, things always happen exactly when they need to.

I’m grateful for my entire journey that brought me to where I am today - a path marked by continuous movement and change (for the better!). I’m grateful that I learned to make hard choices, for not playing small, and for refusing to accept less than what I desire and deserve - even tho sometimes it's oh so hard to do so.

Resilience is not given; it is built. And the bigger the leaps taken, the greater the rewards. I’m stepping into this new decade with more calm and maturity, and I’m excited for what this new phase will bring. ❤️🙏✨

I really enjoy panels - Hearing people openly share their experiences, challenges, and lessons always brings a richness that you don’t get from a single voice.

I’ve also come to really enjoy moderating these conversations. It’s a privilege to help shape the dialogue, highlight different perspectives, and create a space where ideas and experiences can unfold in a meaningful way.

It was such a pleasure to lead today's conversation for women entrepreneurs, to celebrate IWD with _ thank you for having me and for creating the space for such conversations. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Thank you to the panelists for the shared wisdom, and the ecosystem partners for their services to the entrepreneurial community in Montreal:

This year brought some incredible moments and some big life changes (again!). As we wrap up 2025, here are five things I’m celebrating:

1️⃣ Growth in Montreal

Moving to a new city is no small feat — especially after building a strong personal and professional network in Vancouver and feeling truly established there. While 2024 was about settling in, this year I can finally see the fruits of that labour. Things are starting to feel familiar again, in the best way.

One of my favourite things lately is going to networking events and actually knowing people now instead of roaming alone lol. Also, building a WhatsApp community for women in business that’s now over 100 members, and starting to be recognized within this small but growing community, has been incredibly rewarding.

A major highlight was receiving a very special invitation to be one of three people presenting an award to the top 3 Brazilian entrepreneurs of the year. Being invited by Meire Godoy made it even more meaningful (she's a true inspiration!) — this speaks volumes to building trust and credibility with people who haven't followed my journey from the start.

And the cherry on top: I accepted the invitation without hesitation, not knowing who the other two presenters would be… only to find out they were the Brazilian Consul and Vice-Consul in Montreal. Two diplomats — and me. An honour, a humbling moment, and a quiet confirmation that I’m on the right path as I rebuild from where I left off. 🙏

On Monday I attended a TechTO event with Harley Finkelstein (Shopify) and David Segal (David’s Tea). The energy was incredible, but also, their stories reminded me how easy it is to romanticize hustle culture and constant striving at the expense of one’s life.

💭 Am I too naïve to believe there’s another way to do entrepreneurship?

I just shared my reflections on my blog - let me know your thoughts and tell me which leaders inspire your ideal entrepreneurship style ✨💪

✨ Exciting news! Starting October 30, I’ll be facilitating the 3rd Series of signature Business Bootcamp program 🚀

This 4-week group program is designed to help aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs turn their ideas into a clear, actionable plan. Each week, we’ll meet as a group to work through your Business Model Canvas — a powerful framework that maps out how your business creates, delivers, and captures value. This is a great opportunity to build clarity, confidence, and community around your business goals.

💡 Like most of YES’s programs, Business Bootcamp is mostly funded by the Government of Canada, making it an accessible way to get high-quality business support.

⚜️The program is available for individuals based in Quebec only.

If you’d like to join this upcoming cohort, send me a DM, and I’ll share the registration details so you can save your spot!

🗓️ Cohort dates & times:
Thursdays, Oct 30, Nov 6, 13, & 20, 2025
1:00 – 3:30 PM EST

So this happened: yesterday we had a ceremony at the Brazilian Consulate in Montreal, hosted by Ambassador Fernando Coimbra, to oficialize the new CONCID - a committee of Brazilian citizens that serve as a bridge between the Brazilian community in Quebec and the Consulate - for the mandate of 2025-2027.

I’m honoured to be one of 13 members elected for this post and to serve for the next two years along side an amazing group of people. Thank you , our CONCID President, for putting this beautiful group forward - under your leadership, I have no doubt we will accomplish amazing things! And , Vice-President, it’s been great to see you lead outside from our friendship and you rock!

Looking forward to deepening my connections with the Brazilian community in Montreal 🥂🍾

❤️‍🩹 Let’s talk about health for a bit… I recently finished reading Glucose Revolution by — a recommendation from that had been sitting on my list for a while. (P.S.: It’s available for free as an audiobook on — super easy and quick “read” 👌).

If you’ve been following me, you probably heard a bit about my iron deficiency journey. My first episode happened back in 2022, and then again last summer.

Earlier this year, I was finally able to see a private integrative doctor while visiting Brazil — and that’s when everything started to make sense. 🔎

👉 My iron deficiency was in fact due to heavy menstrual flows (which three male doctors continued to ignore and not treat - they just wanted to stuff me with iron pills - so I would forever continue to lose all my iron on a monthly basis)

👉 The heavy flows were caused by fibroids, non-cancerous growths in the uterus that affects over 70% of all women by age 50, though not everyone has symptoms and causes for growth are varied. We confirmed this through a simple ultrasound.

👉 In my case, the fibroids were linked to insulin resistance — a diagnosis that came as a surprise since I eat relatively well and have no history of diabetes in my family. If left untreated, insulin resistance can contribute to the growth of fibroids in both size and number (my case).

Being left in the dark about health issues is very desempowering, and learning all this gave me the knowledge I needed to treat the issues from the root. While I need to address the insulin resistance through diet and exercise, I only had two options with the fibroids: either surgery (with the risk of them coming back and no guarantee about fixing my heavy flow) or using IUD for hormonal support. I opted for the later.

To support with insulin resistance, I’ve been using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) while reading Glucose Revolution, and I’ve already learned so much (cont. in comments).
