DABI - McGill Desautel's African Business Initiative McGill DABI: Bridging the gap between McGill University and the African business landscape

The Desautels African business initiative (DABI) is a new innovative concept for a Canadian university. It is the first and only student-run conference in Canada aiming to create awareness about the growing African economies. Our annual conference will be held in January 2015 as a one day event at McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management, including two keynote speakers, six discussion panels, as w

ell as a networking cocktail. The day will start with a keynote speaker that will set the tone of the conference. Then, the interactive discussion panels will take place simultaneously two at a time and cover African business themes. Later, the day will end with a closing keynote speaker and a networking cocktail for participants to exchange ideas.

Dr. Addy is an Associate Professor (Professional) at McGill University School of Continuing Studies and leads the Sustainable Growth Initiative Office of Sustainable Africa. Through his work, he develops cross-sector partnerships, applied research, and training programs that support students and alumni in transitioning from academic studies to employment and entrepreneurship.
