YWIB partners with local events connecting talented women in science-based careers with young women interested in pursuing a STEM education and careers.

Young Women In Bio (YWIB) is part of the Women In Bio (WIB) organization, a professional organization committed to promoting career development, leadership and entrepreneurship among women in the life sciences. Young Women in Bio (YWIB) committee creates programs and events for middle school aged girls with the aim to encourage and advance life sciences as a career choice. The events ignite girls’ curiosity in biotechnology while nurturing a business and entrepreneurial spirit. Girls and young women have the opportunity to meet women of all ages who work in the field of science, ask questions about their career choices and work-life experience and at the same time gain an in-depth look at a bioscience organization with a tour of a bioscience facility.
