There is safety in authenticity. A safe space is a creative, collaborative and strategic space.

When you nurture an environment where honesty is the norm, trust is built. When nothing is kept behind closed doors, information is spread and awareness drives strategic choices. All can participate, contribute and support to the best of their abilities because of this awareness. There is an atmosphere of "we are in this together" rather than "I need to protect myself".

How does authenticity manifest itself in your actions?
- Constructive criticism
- Transparency around company objectives and challenges
- Expressing emotions around hardships
- Active listening and compassionate response
- Sharing opinions and stance
- Asking for support

Our challenge for you this week, leaders, is all about change.

Can't you feel it? It's brewing in the air...

We are sitting on the precipice of enormous shifts in the way we connect, live and work. We have room to question and challenge. Nothing that was needs to be. You can choose. You can drive change.

Change doesn't happen with a check list. It happens with dedication, communication and emotional engagement. You need to be lead with courage, with your actions, over and over.

It's on you to set the tone, leader, but know that real change, positive change, will only occur when all your team is moved forward. This means you need to lead with transparent, open conversations. Lead with invitations to your team: engage them in building a business process and structure that feels right. Trust them as they take the reigns.

When we build together, we become creative together and we thrive.
