Finally found some time this month to work on a new continuous pattern during self-isolation.

Keeping your passion project is not as easy on a busy schedule of coaching and consulting clients.

Plan to finalize these for a backdrop of some frames I want to put in my bedroom.

If you don't know me very well, you may not know that I have multiple passions in life. I have been this way since I was a child. As a child, it gives you lots of hobbies. As an adult though, it gives you lots of projects to work on. Add the daily routines of life to those projects and life can get quite busy and not always advance as quickly as you would like to. That being said, I wouldn't change my multiple passions for the world.

Here are some illustrations I have been working on, for an extremely slow but in progress 2nd Skillshare class on pattern basics. I can't wait to share all my processes and creative methods with you, hoping that you fall in love with patterns even more.

Can you guess what the class will be about?

Wishing you all a passionate weekend and a reminder to be kind to yourselves and your goals, however long they take to achieve. πŸ’•β˜„πŸ’•β˜„

Hello my friends. I hope your week is off to a great start, and I hope that is the case because YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO. I hope that Mondays are not filled with dread for you, but rather excitement that it is another great day to do what inspires you, gives you purpose and make your life worthwhile.

If you are not in this place or mindset, I completely understand; society and the same constant way of doing things, has not really helped us to consider how important loving your work is. But whether you are working 9-5 for someone else, or working for yourself, or you doing a combination of both, my heartfelt advice to you is that you try and make what you do, what you love to do as soon as possible.

Most of our lives are spent working, and work has taken on this heavy, challenging, almost forceful notion for many people. But imagine if it wasn’t the case, imagine if more often than not the thing you spent the most time doing filled you with energy and life and motivation every day - what a different life that would be.

And that is something we all deserve, and we all can do, with the right mindset, the right plan and the right attitude. But even more so, when you do what you love, the work that you do is more extraordinary, more inspiring, more impactful, more useful. So really, to live the best life you can live and to share the fruits of your labor of love with others so they can do the same, in my eyes, is the only work we MUST be doing, is work with LOVE.

Sending you all the possibilities, opportunities and confidence that that can be a constant reality for you, and wishing that you are producing your most beautiful work, always.

Happy Monday!

Aaaaaannd, I give you POPPY!
It has been a while since I shared a new pattern and it is the first pattern for which I shared my process with you on Instagram.

It was definitely an interesting experience to be transparent in my creativity and my work. There are a lot of steps that go into making beautiful things. And now I am excited to share more of my process with you with all new patterns πŸ€—.
I hope you like her as much as I do. Have a great day everyone πŸ˜˜πŸŒžπŸ™Œ

Happy Monday my dear followers! Today I chose to share a quote that has helped me make sense of my creative work. As a creative, when you make something, you feel a strong sense of ownership to it. You feel that it belongs to you, it is yours, it is your baby - your creation so to speak. However, for many creatives, there are times where we must make specific projects for clients for which they will buy the rights to, or we sell our original works, or we make something for a special someone in mind that we will no longer have in our midst.
The idea of giving your gift away can be very challenging, especially when you have put so much work into it, and when you feel proud of what you have achieved. This is the representation of the actual act.

However, when I read this quote, and with regards to a lot of reading I have done lately on this subject, it goes far deeper than just giving away an object. What we are also giving is our light. We are sharing an example to others of the act of being the most authentic version of ourselves through creation. We are showing that by doing what makes us happy and living well from it, that others can do it too. We are serving as an inspiration to others to just be, create and live the fullest version of themselves - and we are passing it on.

And if everyone did that...well we would all be inspiring each other to live our most authentic lives, and we would all be giving our gifts away more openly, more willingly and with much more intent.

So the strongest piece of wisdom I can take away from this quote is be true to yourself and find your gift. When you find it, honour it and develop it for yourself. And when you have developed it, give it away so that you may inspire others to do the same!

Wishing you all a very creative and inspiring week. Pass it on!

Hey Facebook. So starting a business can be challenging, and part of those challenges could be technical difficulties.

I have been having some issues connecting my Instagram account to my Facebook account, and the only solution was to make a new Elianthi page, and then merge the 2 pages in order for everything to be in sync.

I truly hope this works, I will likely lose previous posts, but nothing should happen to my followers. So we will still be connected.

I am hoping this page merging will be simple and quick, but in case you are looking for my page and can't find me, it is due to temporary maintenance.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Send me your best digital tech fixing vibes!

If you're wondering about my Etsy Shop, it's almost up, just fiddling with a few last touches. In the meantime, you can go through my fabric posts and start thinking which patterns you'd live on your scarves πŸ’•πŸ˜‰.
