Minus kitchen is a Korean supper club based in Montreal dedicated to sharing Korean cuisine celebrating its simplicity and seasonality. Three Jangs; Gan-Jang(soy sauce), Deon-Jang(Korean miso) and Gochu-Jang(pepper paste) are three foundational flavor in Korean cuisine and we want to share the taste that we remember from childhood that is not factory made, but made with fine ingredient and ferment

Je suis en train d’entamer un nouveau chapitre pour l’atelier et ma pratique. Dans le cadre de cette transition, je fais un peu de place et j’organise une vente d’atelier. Ce sera peut-être la dernière avant un bon moment, alors n’hésitez pas à passer me dire bonjour. Il y aura un mélange de pièces des six dernières années —assiettes, bols, tasses à thé, objets uniques pour les rituels, sculptures, ainsi que des essais et prototypes aléatoires que j’ai créés au fil du temps. Au plaisir de vous voir ! //
I’m stepping into a new chapter for both the studio and my practice. As part of this transition, I’m clearing out some space and hosting a studio sale. This might be the last one for a while, so I’d love for you to stop by and say hello! There will be a mix of pieces from the past six years—plates, bowls, teacups, unique objects for rituals, sculptures, and random tests and prototypes I’ve created along the way. Hope to see you!

Happy new lunar year!
한 살 더 먹었다. 매년 친구들에게 대한의 나이 계산 시스템을 설명하려면 희머리가 엄청 는다. 우리는 이거 먹으면 다 같이 한 살 더 먹어 이러면 턱 빠져서 말을 못 잇고 한참 쳐다본다. 친구가 마침 타이밍 좋게 올해 어떤 사람으로 성장하고 싶은지 적어보라며 질문리스트를 보냈다. 같이 떡국을 먹으며 이런저런 꿈들을 구상해본다. 먼저 지나간 관계에서 병약해졌던, 열심히 회복 중인 내 직관을 더 튼튼하게 키우고 싶다. 그리고 세상을 바라보는 디폴트 값을 더 호의적으로 만들어보려고 한다. 젊었을 때는 세상이 나의 적 같았다. 늘 정신을 똑바로 차리고 주위를 살피며 걷지 않으면 뒤통수를 얻어맞을 지도 모른다는 느낌. 긴장의 연속이었다. 그렇게 사는 게 고됐지만 그런 줄도 잘 모르고 살다가 몇 년 전부터 의식적으로 노력을 했다. 정말 웃기게도, 노력하기 시작하니 그게 너무 쉽게 돼서 어이가 없었다. 그리고 맘이 그렇게 편해지더라. 남들은 다들 이렇게 편한 맘으로 살고 있었던 거였나 하는 억울한 맘이 들 정도로. 한 육십 살쯤 됐을 때 세상에 대한 사랑이 주름살로 딱 프린트된 귀여운 할머니로 늙기 위한 나의 큰 그림… 화이팅해야지…
