Summer has arrived!
I would like to take this opportunity of wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy and Safe Summer.
Early Bird discount is available on some plans for present or future travel, including SNOWBIRDS.
For any changes in stability, I am offering the 7-day Stability option, meaning no pending consultations, no pending results of consultations, no pending investigations or results of same, no changes in medication (increase, decrease dosage and frequency), no starting or stopping a medication, no changes in medical conditions or new conditions diagnosed in the 7 days prior to the date of departure. At no time should anyone be traveling against the advice of a physician.
Please check with your doctor what he has as notes in your medical file. At times, it will be necessary to provide you with a medical questionnaire to be completed either by yourselves or your physician/specialist. – This all depends on which policy will be most appropriate for your situation.
Travel within Canada NEEDS to be insured. The only element which is reciprocal between the provinces is hospitalization. The individual provinces DO NOT cover out of province ambulances, clinic visits, prescribed medication, return to home province via Air Ambulance, return of vehicles, etc. I’ve heard many say, “but we’re in Canada”. Yes you are, but each province is independent and regulates its own benefits schedule.
As for Trip Cancellation/Interruption, for those who are planning cruises, or renting hotels/condos, (evidence by virtue of a condo lease is required in the event of a claim) it is very important to protect that investment with this insurance option. It has come to my attention that there were instances that cancellations had to be made at the last minute, and the clients had not protected themselves. This Insurance option is a scaled percentage of the value of NON-REFUNDABLE expenses and age. If traveling on points, you should check with your points’ provider as to their cancellation policy, for what is redeemable and insure what is non-redeemable. The reasons for cancellation or interruption are not limited to the travelers health.
Please read your policy wordings to familiarize yourselves with all the Terms and Conditions as well as Limitations and Exclusions. In the event of a claim, saying that you didn’t know, will not help in settling your claim.
