Last week, in the spirit of shining a light on important causes in our local community, Jude, son of Boreala partner Lyndsy, came to visit and share his journey at Summit School () and The Transitional Education and Career Center (TECC) program, a remarkable initiative that supports young adults with developmental differences in building real-world skills for work and independence🌿

He walked us through his program, his milestones, and his plans for the future and, let's just say, we were all inspired🙌

He also brought a little piece of Summit Marketplace with him: flower arrangements crafted by students through the Flora program, working hands-on with a florist, treats from the Bistro, put together by students gaining real workplace experience💫

Thank you Jude for sharing your story, you left us with full hearts (and full stomachs 😄)

📌The Summit Marketplace is open to everyone! Order fresh flower arrangements, gift boxes, bistro treats and more, all made by talented young students. Every purchase directly supports their programs: https://market.summit-school.com/

Soar🦅

That is the theme of this year’s NACCA Indigenous Prosperity Forum, and it’s a powerful validation of the principles we value in our work🌿

The discussions in Gatineau this week have reinforced a key truth: for entrepreneurs to truly take flight, they need intentional, long-term partnerships and support 🛫

A big shoutout to Bradley Mianscum from Mistissini who took home first place in the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation launchpad program! Great to see such drive and ambition recognized on a national stage🏆✨

Our team members Lyndsy Evenden and Amelia Sproule, CFRE are on the ground this week at the First Nations Major Projects Coalition Conference in Toronto, and a phrase that keeps coming up in different ways is this: strong projects are built on strong partnerships🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

What this conference really highlights is the importance of bringing Indigenous partners to the table earlier, and that doing the hard work upfront to align, build relationships, and shape projects together from the outset will lead to better outcomes📌

Looking forward to continuing the learning and conversations on day 2✨
