This horse's foot isn't distorted forward. This one is distorted both medial & lateral. Too much heel, the pressure has to go somewhere.

Your information didn't exactly get lost, but tbh 🤨 it's buried in several hundred other emails & paperwork from trade shows🤦🏻‍♀️...

Sincerely, I apologize if I have not reached out, or if we started a plan and didn't follow through. Getting it figured out...

An interesting read.

Canada is not included on the list of countries with the highest numbers of horses, and doctor Google confirms there are still more horses in Texas than all of Canada. Not a surprise, just a bit of context.

This exclusive 3-part American Farriers Journal series looks at facts about the hoof-care industry and its national organizations.

If we shoe to the skeleton it doesn't matter what discipline a horse competes in. The way we balance a horse shouldn't change from one discipline to another. And, ideally, we should trim them all the same, and shoe them for their discipline.

Any thoughts?

Bringing a foot to within a couple of mm is going to significantly benefit a horse that is out by 20...or more.

Yes, some of them are going to take more trims on a tighter schedule, or a shoe...

These are some of the feet that participated in a recent project at Peak Veterinary Health in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Various trim cycles, and we are not looking to throw professionals or owners under the bus!

Stay tuned, as we are working on our next newsletter, complete with before and after pictures & corresponding radiographs, to show you the COBIT works consistently and accurately on a variety of shapes, sizes and breeds.
