🔥 FIRE DANGER LEVEL 3 IN EFFECT 🔥
Recent warmer temperatures and dry conditions have increased the fire danger level in our area. Fires can spread quickly under these conditions, even from small sparks or unattended flames.

🚫 Controlled burning is NOT permitted at this time, including burning barrels.
❌ All previously issued burn permits are now cancelled.
✅ Recreational fire pits are still permitted when used safely and attended at all times.

Please do your part to help protect our community and neighbouring properties by following the current restrictions.

🔥 FIRE DANGER LEVEL UPDATE 🔥
The current Fire Danger Level is now set at Level 2.

🚒 Earlier this week, our members were out along both Lake Minnewasta Trail and Lakeside Trail checking trail location marker signs for any missing, damaged, or fallen markers. 🌲
These numbered signs are placed every 300 metres and help emergency responders quickly locate individuals in need of assistance along the trail system. They also identify emergency access points throughout the area. ⏱️

If you ever require emergency assistance while on the trails, provide 911 dispatch with the nearest trail marker number. Thank you to the trail users who report damaged signs so repairs can be made quickly! 👏
If you notice a missing or damaged marker, please message us or call the fire hall at 204-822-3888.
