👟 EVERY PAIR OF SHOES TELLS A STORY. 🚒
Those shoes scattered across our fire hall floor belong to the men and women of Morden Fire & Rescue.
They’re the shoes worn at work, while running errands, walking the dog, or spending time with family.
But when the pager sounds, they’re left behind.
In their place? Heavy firefighting boots and protective gear.
Behind every pair is a neighbour. A carpenter, mechanic, electrician, teacher, accountant, plumber, production worker, or physiotherapist.
People who leave behind unfinished meals, workplaces, family gatherings, and warm beds to help someone in need.
🕛 Noon. 3 PM. 1 AM.
When the call comes, they answer.
But behind every firefighter are people who make that possible.
Families who understand the missed dinners, interrupted celebrations, sleepless nights, and uncertainty.
Employers who allow their employees to leave work at a moment’s notice because someone in our community needs help.
For a fire department like ours, that support isn’t just appreciated. It’s essential.
