Crush and press is complete! The results are clear: we found a key to increasing our quality is waiting patiently to harvest. This extended hang time allows the fruit to reach maximum ripeness. The reward is visible in the stunning, deep golden color achieved by our Seyval grapes right on the vine, a sure sign of the intense flavor and quality we've worked for all season.

We are thrilled to announce that harvest is officially done! Thanks to a wonderfully dry growing season, the quality of the grapes this year is simply outstanding. The sunny, clear weather during the picking window let us finish up faster than we ever expected. Get ready for some incredible 2025 vintages!

We've officially closed our doors for the 2025 season here at Newman Estate Winery, a little earlier than planned. Your support meant that we have run out of our wines at the winery. However, there is still some wine available at select PEILCC stores. Check our website for availability. We're already looking forward to crafting more exceptional wines for you to enjoy next year which will first be available at the PEI wine festival.

Thank you for the wonderful season. The last day we will be open this year is on Open Farm Day, Sunday Sept. 15th between noon and 5pm. We will be closed for the remainder of September. You can still get our products at select PEILCC locations. Check our website for details.

We are now open on weekends for the 2024 season. Our hours are 11-5 Saturday and noon-5 on Sunday. We hope to see you!

The weather has been cooperating and the bulk of our harvest is done for the season. 2023 was an interesting year with some really warm days in September and October to add to the complexity of the fruit.

We will be open for one last day on Open Farm Day today (Sept. 17th) between noon and 5pm. PEI Open Farm Day

Despite the tropical storm, we are hoping to still be open for one last day tomorrow for Open Farm Day. We are going to be watching the weather and will only open if the conditions are safe. We will be making a judgement call tomorrow morning and will provide an update on Facebook and our website.

Newman Estate Winery is located in south-eastern Prince Edward Island. Their sandy soil is unique to that area of PEI along with our southern slope making it an ideal location for growing grapes. All of their wines are made with 100% Prince Edward Island grapes Estate grown on our vineyard in Gladstone Prince Edward Island.
