VAN ISLE FIREWOOD & RECYCLING We do fire wood, recycling, garbage removal and general trucking. We have a 75g excavator, f450, f550, f350, dump trailer. Bells 2000 firewood processor.

All for hire at anytime I started out on Gabriola in 2008 with ol yeller, an old 1978 timber west f250 truck. I was milling wood with a guy on the island and he let me cut some slabs from the
mill into firewood, I then bought my first saw and old yeller with the profits. I then
worked for a guy with whom had a commercial contract on Island Timberland
property in Chase River. He payed me in wood. T

hen i went on my own doing wood. realizing the wood was becoming scarce on gabriola, I moved to Lake Cowichan. This when my father stepped in got me to sell my pick up and got me a flat deck. At
first I was selling the wood that he had on his acreagem then when that ran out
I started getting wood from Timber West and log sorts. Lake Cowichan being a primarily
an old school logging town was easy to find good hard workers, with more expertise then
had to deal withsome of the wood I was getting from the dryland sorts. We were
turning scrap red cedar into beautiful cedar shake blocks and cedar split rails and the
rest was firewood. Due to my cliental being mostly on Gabriola i decided to move up to
Nanaimo area and Timber West set me up first into North West Bay and then now i am
salvaging out in Nanaimo Lakes. Since moving to Nanaimo we have started to brake into
the local market.
