In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognize the tragic history and lasting impacts of colonization and Canada’s residential school system. Today we reflect on survivors, their families and communities, and we respect this important part of the process of reconciliation. Join us in remembrance and in honouring the unique and diverse cultural heritage of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and celebrating the important ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities to our broader communities and country.
